Dancing Fish Productions is an animation studio located in Dallas, Texas. We specialize in creating visual content for independent filmmakers and non-profit organizations. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs, guide them through the production process and determine the best solutions to bring their visions to life.

Who are we?

Justin

Justin Hall, founded Dancing Fish Productions in 2003 and serves as creative director. With extensive experience spanning over two decades, Justin has worked in various fields including film, television, games, and commercial animation. He trained in traditional 2D hand-drawn animation, and has been involved in highly acclaimed projects such as L'Illusionist, Monsters, OOglies, and Tiny Planets, which have garnered BAFTA and Oscar nominations. Justin has also worked in broadcast news graphics, agency settings, and teaching, resulting in a wealth of diverse experience he can bring to any project.

Fiona

Fiona Hall has been working in independent film production on features, TV dramas, documentaries, animation, short films and promos since 2003. For 3 years, she worked on the 2011 Oscar nominated feature film The Illusionist as production manager, overseeing scheduling, budget and recruitment. She has also worked at the Edinburgh and Dallas Film Festivals and set up her own film festival, the Leith Film Festival, which ran a successful annual 24-hour film competition.

We had the wonderful opportunity to work with the fantastic non-profit, Emerging Leaders to produce this animation to complement their hands-on training.

This was the first animation we created for The Center for BrainHealth's, BrainHealth Project.

Brain Power of Two (or Elephants and Rabbits) teaches a methodology of single-tasking two big, elephant, objectives each day, before worrying about the little, rabbit, tasks.
